Absolutely. Therapy provides a safe space to explore the sources of your stress and overwhelm. We can help you identify triggers, develop healthy boundaries, improve time management, and build resilience. The goal is to equip you with practical tools to navigate life's demands more effectively, reducing the feeling of being constantly on edge and allowing you to reclaim your sense of balance.

While often related, they're distinct. Stress is typically a response to an external pressure or demand, and it often lessens when the pressure is gone. Anxiety is a more persistent and pervasive feeling of worry, unease, or dread, often without a clear external trigger, and can manifest physically. Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged or excessive stress, often in a professional or caregiving context, leading to feelings of cynicism, detachment, and reduced accomplishment.

Anxiety and stress can certainly be a normal part of a busy life, and to some extent, they are.
However, there's a point where stress and anxiety move beyond "normal" and start to negatively impact your well-being. This happens when:
Stress becomes chronic: Instead of occasional demands, you feel constantly under pressure, with your body's "fight-or-flight" response always activated. This sustained state can disrupt body processes and increase health risks.
Anxiety becomes persistent and pervasive: It's not just situational nervousness, but a continuous feeling of worry, unease, or dread, often without a clear external trigger. It can manifest physically and interfere with daily life.
It leads to burnout: This is the extreme end of the spectrum, where prolonged, unmanaged stress results in deep emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion, leading to cynicism, detachment, and a feeling of reduced accomplishment.
So, while some stress and anxiety are normal, if they are constant, overwhelming, or leading to exhaustion and a feeling of being depleted, they are no longer just "part of a busy life" and one could benefit from support.
