Your Mind Is Always One Step Ahead

You’re thinking about what needs to happen next while you’re still doing the thing in front of you.

You wake up already mentally making a list. You replay conversations. You anticipate what could go wrong. You notice what everyone else missed.

And even when you finally have time to rest, your brain and body won’t cooperate.

anxiety & burnout can look like

One bad day, one mistake, sends you into a spiral of "I'm failing at everything."

Rest makes you nervous, guilty, or hyper-aware of everything you’ve been putting off

You feel like you’re running behind even when you’re getting things done

You’re irritable, scattered, or emotionally tapped out

Your body feels tense, keyed up, or heavy

When Pushing Through Stops Feeling Sustainable

Anxiety can fuel you for a long time. You plan ahead. You prepare. You catch mistakes. You work harder when you’re worried. Sometimes those habits are part of why you’ve been successful.

Eventually, the same drive that kept you going can make it hard to know when you’ve reached your limit.

Burnout doesn’t always look like collapse. Sometimes you’re still functioning. You’re just doing it with less patience, less enjoyment, more anxiety, and a growing sense that you cannot keep living at this pace.

How I Help

We figure out the cycle. You’re exhausted, maybe even physically run down, and something in you still won’t let you stop. We figure out what’s driving the override. What are you actually afraid will happen if you slow down? What does stopping mean to you?

We work with the conflict. You need rest, but guilt makes it impossible. You need boundaries, but you're terrified of disappointing people. Most therapy tries to force you to pick a side. We work with both. When both needs are acknowledged, the stalemate shifts.

We address what your body is holding. The tightness, the fear, the fog. Anxiety lives in your nervous system, not just your thoughts. We use somatic work and EMDR so your body can actually release what it's been carrying.

We slow down the anticipatory fear. Your brain may already be twenty steps ahead, imagining what could go wrong or what you might have missed. We work on noticing when you’re responding to what is actually happening versus what your mind is predicting.

We address the frantic energy underneath. The screaming, the tightness, the "I can't handle this" feeling. That's not just stress — it's usually old fear that never got processed. Fear of failing, of being trapped, of not being capable. We work with that directly using EMDR and somatic approaches.
